The district is seeking individuals with lived and learned accessibility experience to join Saanich Schools Accessibility Committee that will be created to help:
● Identify, prevent, and eliminate barriers to accessibility and inclusion for people with disabilities within Saanich Schools
● Contribute to the development of an Accessibility Plan for the District
● Bring greater awareness and attention to the lived experience of those learning and working within Saanich Schools

The Committee will meet over the Spring - dates and times will be based on what works for committee members.
At least half of the Committee members will be comprised of persons with disabilities and/or individuals representing disability-serving organizations(s) and membership should also reflect the diversity of British Comumbians and include Indigenous peoples.
