The Saanich School Board approved a motion at the Jan 25 board meeting, that will move school recess to the end of day, starting April 2. This will affect elementary schools only, middle and high schools will be unaffected.
The school board wishes to ensure parents that supervision will occur to the end of regular instructional time and that parents should not feel pressured to pick up their children early.
