Please be advised that COPACS and the District is hosting what is often referred to as "the Policy 1100 night” on Tuesday January 27 2015 at 7pm at Bayside Middle School.

Normally this evening occurs earlier in the fall, but due to the late start up this year we have chosen to postpone the event until now.

The expectation is that all school administrators (principals/vice principals) and PAC executive will be in attendance along with our new Board, district executive and any interested parents.

Please mark your calendars now and make every effort to free yourself on that evening.  If childcare is a barrier to your attendance, please contact COPACS by Jan 20th to see if we can be of assistance.

Policy 1100 "Parent Involvement” is the policy section that speaks directly to the ways and opportunities that parents can engage and have a voice within their child's learning community and the district as a whole.  It is also the one time a year that we can connect with each other in person.  The evening promises to be constructive, informative and hopefully fun.

If that wasn't enough for you to cajole, convince, motivate your executive and interested parents in attending there is of course food, coffee and a chance to win some door prizes.

Eats, good company, freebies and the satisfaction that you are working towards giving our kids all that they deserve in making SD63 truly "Great places to learn, and safe places to be.”  What more could you ask for in one evening?
